Periwinkle founder Carrie Delafield has been a shopaholic since first stepping into her mother's closet. Fast forward 20 (okay, 30) years and she now has three beautiful little girls playing in her closet. Having her three girls in three years she realized that no matter how close in age, each child is truly an individual. She dreamed up a line of classic children's clothing customized to bring out each child's personality.
Periwinkle was an instant success and Carrie needed help. Fate stepped in and brought Kathleen Nash to Carrie's door. Kathleen, now the mother of two, had just moved back to Connecticut and wanted to launch her own embroidered gift company. The two began chatting and the rest is history. Each of them knew that each gift that they received that had a monogram for their children had made it special and an instant favorite. Then adult friends wanted things for themselves, too. Periwinkle just kept expanding. What began as a word-of-mouth business quickly spread and is now proudly shared with the world via periwinkleonline.com.
