Periwinkle founder Caroline Delafield was lucky enough to have
three beautiful girls in less than three years. Her daughters
made her realize that no matter how close in age, each child is
truly an individual. Periwinkle started because each gift
received that had a monogram for her girls made it an instant
favorite and seem infinitely more special. Periwinkle started
offering classic children's clothing and gifts customized to
bring out each child's personality.
Soon, Mommy wanted to shop for herself, her friends and her
house as well. Periwinkle now is basically a takeoff on the
Sound of Music--"these are a few of my favorite things" - when
we find something that we love we want to share it with our
friends. Periwinkle has expanded to gifts, jewelry, adult
clothing, and things for your home. Traditional with an eclectic
sensibility, Periwinkle embodies truly wearable style that is
high quality at an accessible price point. What began as a
word-of-mouth business has quickly spread and is now proudly

Periwinkle started in wonderful Darien, Connecticut and has
